WHERE IS YOUR
EMERGENCY MEDICAL INFORMATION?

RESCUE FACTS provides Crucial information in Critical situations for you and your pets. The RESCUE FACTS Emergency Information Pack provides a method of communicating crucial information to EMS in the event that you are unable to. When EMTs arrive on the scene of a medical emergency to render aid, one of the first steps taken involves removing the patient's seat belt. The RESCUE FACTS information seat belt strap is specifically designed to capture the attention of emergency personnel while protecting your privacy.

RESCUE FACTS was developed by a Police Officer and a former EMT, who's combined years of experience responding to traffic crashes identified a glaring need. Precious time was being spent attempting to identify and piece together medical information for crash victims. The RESCUE FACTS emergency medical information strap was designed to give back those precious moments and allow for the user to obtain the very best medical care as quickly as possible.

HOW DOES RESCUE FACTS WORK?

There are two parts to the RESCUE FACTS product. The first is the nylon strap. This is made from durable nylon, similar to outdoor flag and banner material. The medical symbol is either embroidered or silk screened onto the strap and alerts EMS and Police that there is important health information inside.

The strap is not actually attached to the seat belt or other item, but rather wraps around just about anything with a strap, such as a helmet chinstrap, walker, wheelchair, backpack, or pet collar. It is secured with Velcro. Inside the strap is a pocket designed to hold the paper emergency medical information insert.

The other part is the water and tear resistant paper insert. The medical information form includes a consent to treat form and room for a photo. It is written in English and Spanish.

HOW IS RESCUE FACTS DIFFERENT
FROM OTHER, SIMILAR PRODUCTS?

Medical bracelets, charms and pet tags can be very costly and are only able to contain a very limited amount of information. RESCUE FACTS provides you the security that those rendering aid have all the necessary identity and vital information they need. This can save a considerable amount of precious time to administer life saving treatment.

Traffic crashes are often very chaotic and dangerous. Some products allow users to place information inside tubes or containers for storage in their vehicles and glove boxes. Valuable time can be lost searching for items that are lost in debris both inside and outside the vehicle. Glove boxes are often avoided after a crash since air bags become very unstable and can deploy without warning.

The seat belt is the only portion of a vehicle that is designed to withstand a crash. What better place than the seat belt to ensure that your emergency medical information is secure and available to EMS personnel? And, also, human nature says that no matter how good a product is designed, if it is not user friendly, it is likely not to be used. First responders are human beings.

WHAT ABOUT THE "CONSENT TO TREAT" FORM?

If you are unable to respond, a "consent to treat" form is very important. Also, it is vital that rescuers have a "parental consent" form signed for your child or children. These are included in the RESCUE FACTS form.

In addition, the emergency contact information can be used to contact family members. This will prevent your child having to be placed in foster care until a family member is located.

WHAT OTHER USES ARE THERE
FOR RESCUE FACTS?

Many times people suffering from Alzheimer's or dementia wander away from care providers and don't remember where they live. It is usually difficult and time consuming for law enforcement or other citizens to determine identity and medical conditions. Attaching a strap to a belt, purse, suspenders, walker, cane, etc. is a great way to conspicuously provide this information. We also have straps for your pet's collars and helmet chin straps.
